As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say, the news about Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 moving its release date to February 4, 2025 has sent a wave of excitement through the gaming community. Having waited patiently for this sequel, I can’t help but feel a twinge of relief that we won’t have to wait until February’s crowded release schedule for this gem.

Warhorse Studios has advanced the launch date for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 to February 4, 2025. Starting from December 6, we can also expect a fresh story trailer, along with specifics regarding the PC and console versions.

In a recent video update, Tobi Stolz-Zwilling, the PR manager, unveiled the new launch date and announced that the latest story trailer for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will be premiered during tomorrow’s PC Gaming Show. Additionally, Stolz-Zwilling shared that the game is now in its final stages of optimization, so fans can expect to learn about the PC and console specifications soon.

For both the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, you’ll find performance and quality settings. Notably, the PS5’s version will benefit from enhanced capabilities when played on a Pro console.

Regarding the studio’s unexpected shift in the release date, Stolz-Zwilling remained somewhat evasive, merely commenting, “You’ll be able to kick off 2025 with an exceptional game.

Originally scheduled for a release on February 11, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 was subsequently moved up from its original date due to the crowded release calendar in February 2025. To avoid competition with other major titles such as Assassin’s Creed Shadows (February 14), Avowed (February 18), and Monster Hunter Wilds (February 28), Warhorse Studios decided to bring the game out earlier.

Besides Warhorse Studios, Sega has also adjusted the release date of its game ‘Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.’ Originally set for a February 28 launch, it’s now moving forward to an earlier date on February 21.
