Donovan Correctional facility close to San Diego with actor Cooper Koch, who stars in the series “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.
Kardashian expressed that Ryan Murphy’s ‘Monsters’ show, which she has been watching lately, gave her new insights into abuse since she believes Ryan didn’t receive a just second chance. She also conveyed the powerful sentiment of what it might feel like if no one believed you, during an interview with Marc Malkin at the Academy Museum Gala on Saturday.
On November 29th, Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón has scheduled a hearing for the brothers regarding a fresh examination of evidence recently uncovered in their case.
Kardashian stated that it’s appropriate for the DA’s office to rectify an old injustice. This doesn’t imply that they shouldn’t have served time, but rather it reflects his strong belief that they deserve another opportunity and have already served sufficient punishment.
In 1996, Erik and Lyle received a life sentence without the possibility of parole after a re-trial due to an initial deadlock in their case. The brothers had been found guilty of murdering their parents in August 1989, alleging that they had endured years of sexual abuse by their father prior to this act. However, these critical details were not presented during their final and decisive trial.
In a recent statement, Kardashian remarked, “They’ve been involved with something for nearly 35 years, which is longer than a typical first-degree murder sentence. As someone who advocates for second chances, I truly believe in their cause.
At the Academy Museum Gala, Koch discussed with Malkin the possibility that he might not participate in Ryan Murphy’s plans to film additional episodes of the Netflix series “Monsters,” should the brothers be freed from prison.
“I think we told the story,” Koch said. “We did it.”
He mentioned, “I believe I’ve reached a point where I want to move on to something new. I’ve enjoyed discussing it and fighting for its cause, and I’m eagerly anticipating its release. However, in terms of being ‘Erik’, I feel ready to step away.
According to Koch, he’s eager to discuss the possibility of playing Patrick Bateman in director Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming adaptation of “American Psycho.
