On January 12th, Kiefer Sutherland was arrested for allegedly attacking a rideshare driver. According to KTLA, Sutherland got into the driver’s car and both verbally threatened and physically assaulted them. The incident happened near Sunset and Fairfax, and police reported the driver didn’t require medical attention. Sutherland was released on $50,000 bail and is due in court on February 2nd.
Jack Bauer, known for his on-screen legal troubles, is facing legal issues again after more than ten years, according to USA Today. Kiefer Sutherland, the actor who plays Bauer, previously served two months in jail in 2007 for driving under the influence, an offense he’d committed several times since 1989. In 2009, he was accused of hitting a designer, but the charges were dropped. There was also an incident in 2005 or 2006 where he was caught on camera knocking over a Christmas tree in a London hotel lobby. He later jokingly explained to Jonathan Ross that the tree was a fire hazard and he was simply addressing the issue.
