Season 2 of Gen V is packed with references and hidden details – cameos and easter eggs that connect to past episodes, the show ‘The Boys,’ or even real-world events. Some are easy to spot, while others flash by quickly. Here’s a collection of these easter eggs for those who want to know about them.

List of Gen V Season 2 cameos and easter eggs
The second season of Gen V launched on September 17, 2025, and dedicated viewers have quickly discovered many hidden references and clues. Here’s a look at some of the most noticeable ones from the first three episodes.
- Thomas Godolkin, the founder of Godolkin University (God U), makes an appearance in a flashback sequence in the first episode.
- Starlight cameos in the episode “New Year, New U.” She appears to save Marie Moreau when Dogknott hunts her down and tries to capture her.
- Dogknott was the supe hunting down Marie. Vought considered him as a candidate to join The Seven in Season 4.
- God U have put up Homelander’s poster across the university, promoting supe propaganda.
- Victoria Newman’s statue is placed in multiple places within the God U campus. Butcher killed her in Season 4.
- The Deep has multiple short cameos this season. He is seen in the frat house director poster, in a fraternity initiation, and also in the puppet show that Sam watches with Jordan.
- Firecracker, another member of The Seven, appeared on TV. She reports on Cate Dunlap’s attack while blaming Starlight supporters.
- In Episode 2, “Justice Never Forgets”, Dean Ciper tells Polarity that the university can’t pay as per SAG residuals. It refers to real-world SAG-AFTRA strikes.
- In one of the advertisements that played on TV, Sam and Cate switch bodies. It is a parody of the real-world movie Freaky Friday.
- In The Boys Season 4, Episode 4, “Wisdom of the Ages”, the show hinted at Project Odessa. The name comes up in the episode when Homeland goes to the lab. The project is one of the main plot points in Gen V Season 2.
- In Episode 2, The Rememberer, God U’s librarian talks about Tyler Sheridan. He is a real-world director and writer known for his work on films such as Sicario, Wind River, and Yellowstone, among others.
- In Episode 3, “H Is for Human”, during training, Cipher tells Marie what she needs to be like Angelina Jolie from Salt, rather than from Girl Interrupted. Those are two movies from the real world.
