Kevin Spacey Revives Frank Underwood From ‘House of Cards’ to Help Tim Dillon Promote Netflix Special: ‘You Are My Kind of Bastard’

Actor Kevin Spacey, who had previously left the spotlight, took up his old role as Frank Underwood from “House of Cards” in a promotional video for comedian Tim Dillon’s fresh Netflix comedy special titled “I’m Your Mother.

Netflix declined EbMaster‘s request for comment.

In the video shared on Tuesday, Spacey’s character Underwood says to Dillon, ‘It seems you podcasters believe you’ve taken over the kingdom.’ He continues, ‘You whisper in ears, manipulate elections, twist truths as if they were sweet candy floss. But in reality, all of you are merely a group of jesters playing with boner pills and hair tonic.’

“Frank Underwood? I thought you were dead,” Dillon replies.

“I’m as dead as John McCain,” Spacey quips back.

Spacey’s character Underwood attempts to blackmail Dillon by threatening with DoorDash receipts and compromising photos. But his scheme unravels when Dillon replies, “The pictures you handed over, I’ve already shared them publicly. I’m online. We don’t have a secret to keep. We have content for the world.

Spacey counters by saying you’ve got no boundaries when it comes to deceit, flattery, or grasping for significance. You’re just like me,” he remarks.

“In response, Spacey claims that you have no limits in terms of being deceptive, sycophantic, and desperate for attention. You two are kindred spirits,” he asserts.

Later on, Dillon shares the news about his Netflix special with Spacey. Upon discovering that “I’m Your Mother” is available on this particular streaming service, Spacey responds by calling Dillon a vile, lonely, wicked little insect.

In 2022, four years after Kevin Spacey’s dismissal from “House of Cards” due to sexual assault allegations against young men, a court mandated him to compensate the production company MRC approximately $31 million for misconduct on the set of the White House drama. However, in 2024, this amount was lowered to $1 million.
