Back in the day, the legendary movie director Kevin Smith brought back the classic animated show, Masters of the Universe (or He-Man, if you’re familiar), with a fresh Netflix series divided into two seasons: Masters of the Universe: Revelation and Masters of the Universe Revolution. These seasons are about to be combined in a cool Steelbook Blu-ray Collection coming out on May 13, and guess what? You can already preorder it on Amazon!
Originally, the retailer set the product’s launch price at a full $50. However, Amazon has now slashed the price significantly, offering it for just $30.49. The show follows directly from the ’80s Masters of the Universe animated series, with events starting right after Skeletor’s attack on Castle Grayskull, which supposedly killed He-Man. As Eternia’s guardian is out of action, Revelation focuses on Teela as she embarks on a mission to save the day and discover Grayskull’s secrets. The show has been positively received, though a third season hasn’t been confirmed yet. Nevertheless, both seasons pay tribute to the original series with high-quality animation and an impressive voice cast that includes Mark Hamill as Skeletor, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela, and the late Tony Todd as Scare-Glow.
If you aim to finish your collection, the 1983-1985 episodes of He-Man cartoons are compiled in a DVD set, along with various other iconic titles from Filmation’s ’80s prime and the Netflix reboot of She-Ra.
