I’m excited to join forces with Kevin Hart and director Tim Story once again for a brand-new, laugh-out-loud comedy movie on Netflix!
In the project titled “72 Hours,” we find Hart portraying a 40-year-old executive who aims to revive his struggling career by unexpectedly becoming part of a group chat for a three-day bachelor party with twenty-somethings.
The film represents the fifth joint project between Hart and Story, following their work on “Think Like a Man” and “Ride Along” movies. These comedies opened to great success in theaters and grossed over $445 million globally.
In the upcoming project, Matt Mider and Kevin Burrows, along with Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, are credited as writers. The production companies involved are Hart’s Hartbeat, Davis Entertainment, Counterbalance, and Will Packer. This film is being overseen by Ross Fanger as the executive producer. The unique arrangement for this project is that Sony Pictures will first offer Netflix a chance to stream any films they plan to produce.
Deadline first reported news of the forthcoming film.
