Ruby Rose, known for her roles in John Wick and Batwoman, publicly accused Katy Perry of sexual assault on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Rose claims the alleged incident occurred at a Melbourne nightclub called Spice Market.
Rose described the incident further, stating that the other person noticed her trying to avoid them by resting on a friend’s lap. She then allegedly pulled down her underwear and rubbed her genitals on Rose’s face until Rose woke up and vomited on her.

The claims Ruby Rose is making about Katy Perry on social media are completely untrue and are harmful, irresponsible falsehoods.
Ms. Rose frequently makes serious accusations against people on social media, but those she accuses consistently deny her claims.
I was shocked to hear about what Rose went through. Apparently, she stayed quiet about the incident for a while because Perry promised to help her with her US visa. But now, she’s actually filed a police report! She mentioned on Threads that because Perry’s a public figure, her case has been passed on to a special police department that handles these kinds of situations.
She recently announced that she’s finished all her reports. Because of this, she can no longer publicly discuss the cases or the people involved – this is a standard request from law enforcement and, she says, a welcome relief.
Following Rose’s accusations, a 2014 interview with Anna Kendrick has reappeared online. In it, she makes a joke about Perry inappropriately touching her at the Grammy Awards.
