As a die-hard fan of Bollywood and a connoisseur of horror-comedy films, I am absolutely thrilled about the imminent release of “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” on Diwali! Kartik Aaryan‘s journey with Rooh Baba has been nothing short of fascinating, and the addition of legends like Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit to the cast is a dream come true for any movie lover.
With Diwali (November 1) fast approaching, star Kartik Aaryan recently chatted with EbMaster about the development of his role as Rooh Baba in the upcoming third instalment of the hit “Bhool Bhulaiyaa” series. He also shared insights into collaborating with Bollywood greats Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit.
Aaryan points out that ‘BB’ is not just a successful blend of horror and comedy, but offers more. He explains, ‘From Rooh Baba to Manjulika’s dance, the audience has embraced every element of this film, making them essential parts of it.’
The performer acknowledges that the music-oriented aspects of the series have played a crucial role in its triumph, pointing out joint projects with renowned artists such as Pitbull, Diljit Dosanjh, and Shreya Ghoshal. In the upcoming movie, Aaryan’s character Rooh Baba encounters new hardships. “His intentions are more defined, unveiling a richer past that enhances his complexity,” he elaborates. “This time, he has to handle not one but two Manjulikas – twice the turmoil, twice the amusement.
Working together with Madhuri Dixit and the returning star Vidya Balan unites two eras of Bollywood’s exceptional talent. “It still seems surreal and incredibly fortunate to collaborate with two legends of Hindi cinema,” Aaryan expresses. “Vidya ma’am is full of joy, always cracking jokes, and her laughter is contagious. Even Madhuri ma’am exudes such a relaxed vibe. She carries an amazingly calming and positive energy with her.
Addressing the film’s Diwali release alongside Rohit Shetty’s cop universe film “Singham Again,” also featuring a galaxy of stars including Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Jumar and Tiger Shroff, Aaryan expresses confidence in the market’s capacity to support simultaneous major releases. “Over the past many years we all have witnessed such big clashes at the box-office and at times both have done great,” he notes. “If the audiences are loving both the films then it’s going to make the business it’s meant to make.”
“Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” also features Bollywood star Triptii Dimri in a lead role.
As a seasoned movie critic, I’ve noticed an intriguing development in Indian cinema – the horror-comedy genre has grown far beyond its conventional roots. Combining these two elements isn’t just about appealing to a couple of adults, it’s about inviting an entire family to the cinemas. When you strike the right balance between terror and laughter, you create a unique blend that resonates with a broader audience.
The upcoming movie titled “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” was kickstarted by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and is helmed by director Anees Bazmee. This film will be distributed internationally on November 1st through AA Films.
