DRAGON BALL NEW SERIES

The original anime series titled “Dragon Ball DAIMA,” a fresh take on the Dragon Ball universe created by Akira Toriyama, will start streaming subtitled versions from October 11th on Crunchyroll. This will be accessible in the U.S., Canada, Latin America (including Brazil), Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, and Southeast Asia. Each new episode, airing simultaneously with the Japanese TV broadcast, will continue to roll out weekly with subtitles.

As a die-hard cinema enthusiast, I’m excited to share that this captivating series is masterfully directed by Yashima Yoshitaka, renowned for his key animator role on “Dragon Ball Z: Cooler’s Revenge,” and Komaki Aya, who’s known for her exceptional work as the series director of “One Piece.” The brilliant Kakihara Yuko handles the series composition and scenario, while Nakatsuru Katsuyoshi takes care of the animation character design. This cinematic marvel is brought to life by Toei Animation.

FOUR FORMATS

At the upcoming MIPCOM event next month, Japanese broadcaster Nippon TV, known for adapting a variety of international formats, plans to reveal four fresh concepts. Among these, there will be two scripted series and two non-scripted ones.

“Man or Dummy?”, a game show with a striking visual brand, is a popular guessing game elevated to unprecedented heights and played across various urban locations.

In a statement, Sayako Aoki, Head of Scripted at Nippon TV, mentioned that “Secret Transformation” and “Return Journey” are scripted storylines focusing on female characters who muster the strength to challenge an illogical reality and tackle unresolved enigmas from their past, along with personal hardships.

Nippon TV functions as a broadcaster across multiple platforms, with Hulu Japan being one of its possessions. Approximately 90% of its content is self-owned. The company has been proactive in disseminating its content globally, offering anime, pre-made programs, formats, and collaborative projects through co-production agreements.
