Kansas City Chiefs’ 2024 Season Results According to Madden 25

As a die-hard Chiefs fan who has been through thick and thin with this team, I must say that the 2024 season was a heartbreaker! The Bengals game was a rollercoaster ride of emotions, from the initial touchdown to the blocked point-after attempt. If only they could’ve scored one more point there, the outcome might have been different.

In this article, we’ll share the projected Kansas City Chiefs 2024 Season results based on Madden 25 simulations. We conducted a one-year Franchise with the Chiefs using custom CPU Sliders to make the simulation more realistic and predictable. Could the Chiefs become the first NFL team to achieve a three-peat? Or will this season mark the end of Patrick Mahomes’ reign in the Conference Championship game? Let’s uncover the forecast for this upcoming season.

Chiefs’ 2024-2025 Season Results According to Madden 25

15 days until we’re back for real.

— Kansas City Chiefs (@Chiefs) August 21, 2024

Based on our Madden 25 season simulation, it’s projected that the Kansas City Chiefs will finish with a record of 12 wins and 5 losses. Now, let’s examine how they might perform in the playoffs considering their season performance.

Week 1 – vs. Baltimore Ravens

For the second season in a row, the team who won back-to-back Super Bowls started their season with a loss. Baltimore managed to avenge their defeat from the AFC Championship game earlier this year. Second-year wide receiver Zay Flowers snagged 8 passes for 86 yards and scored a touchdown in the final quarter of the fourth, securing a 27-17 victory for his team.

Kansas City’s quarterback, Mahomes, performed acceptably (26 completions out of 38 attempts for 304 yards, scoring two touchdowns), but the main issue arose from the Chiefs’ running game. Isaiah Pacheco managed just 26 yards on 12 carries, with his longest run being an 8-yarder to close the first half. The Chiefs offense improved in the fourth quarter, but only when they were trailing 20-7. They rallied to make it 20-17, but the Ravens secured their win shortly after with a touchdown by Zay Flowers.

Record: 0-1

Week 2 – vs. Cincinnati Bengals

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL

KC707721

In another narrow defeat, the Chiefs found themselves outplayed by Joe Burrow and the Bengals. They started strong with a 7-0 lead on their opening drive, but their offense faltered once more due to an unimpressive rushing effort. Pacheco managed just 58 yards on 16 carries, with one run accounting for 12 yards; if that single run is excluded, he gained only 46 yards on his remaining 15 attempts.

Initially, Mahomes had some difficulties and threw two interceptions during the match. One of these turnovers was particularly damaging, happening on a potential game-deciding drive towards the end. This error allowed the Bengals to wind down the clock, ultimately scoring the game-winning field goal. Consequently, Kansas City now faces a tricky situation following this defeat.

Record: 0-2

Week 3 – @ Atlanta Falcons

In their initial win of the season, the Chiefs triumphed over the Falcons who were also 1-1. Travis Kelce achieved his first 100-yard receiving game this season, reeling in 7 passes for a total of 144 yards. His standout play was a 56-yard touchdown catch midway through the second quarter.

In the first half, the defense of the Chiefs managed to stifle Kirk Cousins and the Falcons’ offense. Cousins, despite completing 18 out of 36 passes, boosted his stats with a couple of touchdowns in the second half. However, it was only during the final whistle that the Chiefs secured their first victory.

Record: 1-2

Week 4 – @ Los Angeles Chargers

In the opening minutes, Kansas City took the lead with a scoring drive, while the Chargers coughed up the ball during their return. Isaiah Pacheco notched his first touchdown of the season in this matchup and finished with a total of 15 rushing attempts for 79 yards. Moreover, he added three receptions for an additional 29 yards.

Initially, the Chiefs’ offense seemed to doze off until the fourth quarter, allowing the Chargers to gradually mount a comeback. With just 5 minutes and 43 seconds left on the clock, tied at 21-21, Patrick Mahomes connected with rookie receiver Xavier Worthy for a touchdown in the end zone.

During that series, Justin Herbert failed to complete a pass for four straight attempts, resulting in an unsuccessful fourth-down attempt. The Kansas City Chiefs were then able to consume time on the clock and end up tying their record.

Record: 2-2

Week 5 – vs. New Orleans Saints

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL

George Karlaftis played a pivotal role in the Chiefs’ defensive win, registering two sacks against the Saints and causing a fumble that teammate DT Chris Jones recovered. Moreover, they successfully forced Derek Carr to throw an interception in the fourth quarter, which was caught by SS Justin Reid.

Despite the team’s offense playing well overall, it seems the ground game remains a challenge, as demonstrated by Pacheco who ended the game with 17 rushes for 66 yards, scoring a touchdown in the third quarter. On the other hand, Mahomes had a relatively subdued performance, completing just 22 passes for 188 yards and adding 5 rushing attempts for an additional 23 yards. Travis Kelce stood out among the receivers with 5 receptions totaling 55 yards.

Record: 3-2

Week 7 – @ San Francisco 49ers

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL

In Week 6, the San Francisco 49ers sought retribution following their Super Bowl defeat, and they achieved it by outsmarting the Kansas City Chiefs. The game was essentially unstoppable for Christian McCaffrey, who charged forward 23 times for a total of 180 yards and scored three touchdowns. Brock Purdy may not have delivered an outstanding performance (completing 18 passes out of 27 attempts for 219 yards), but his lack of turnovers kept the 49ers’ momentum going throughout the game.

In my gaming world yet again, no sign of that speedy running game – Pacheco managed just 39 yards on eleven runs. With the ground game failing, Mahomes took to the air and found the end zone twice in the second half, one to Kelce and another to Mecole Hardman. Alas, our attempts were futile as San Francisco methodically marched down the field, draining the clock with a lengthy field goal drive.

With just 39 seconds left on the clock, the Chiefs were trailing 30-24, having only one timeout left. Unfortunately, Mahomes couldn’t manage to guide the team further down the field for a potential game-winning drive.

Record: 3-3

Week 8 – @ Las Vegas Raiders

The defensive team of the Chiefs significantly improved their game with a robust display against their division rival. Chris Jones, George Karlaftis, and Charles Omenihu each registered at least one sack during the win. With Gardner Minshew out due to injury, backup quarterback Aidan O’Connell performed as anticipated. He guided the Raiders on a field goal drive in the third quarter, but was unable to bring them to the end zone.

Mahomes and the Chiefs’ attack struggled significantly during the game. Travis Kelce even lost possession of the ball, managing just three receptions for a total of 19 yards. Pacheco continued to struggle, gaining 69 yards on 19 carries. When can we expect an improvement in the team’s ground game?

Record: 4-3

Week 9 – vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL

Initially, it was a close call, but eventually, the Chiefs managed to overcome the Buccaneers with a score of 27-17. In the beginning, they established a 10-0 advantage, but then seemed to lose focus and allowed the Buccaneers to score 17 consecutive points. However, once trailing 17-10, the Chiefs regained their energy and resumed playing football.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but rejoice in Travis Kelce’s extraordinary performance! He clinched the game ball by scoring an impressive three touchdowns that led us to victory. In total, he caught a staggering nine passes for a commendable 104 yards. Meanwhile, Mahomes was equally impressive with 23 completions out of his 29 pass attempts. Lastly, Isaiah Pacheco had a much-improved day on the field, managing 81 yards from his 14 carries. What an incredible game it was!

Record: 5-3

Week 10 – vs. Denver Broncos

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL

In their initial encounter this season, the Chiefs clearly outshone the Broncos. Pacheco built upon his achievements from last week, amassing 122 yards on 21 rushes and scoring two touchdowns. Mahomes was equally impressive, finishing 24 out of 28 passes for a total of 321 yards and three touchdowns. Notably, he distributed the ball to eight different receivers, demonstrating a smooth balance in his throws.

In a disappointing defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs, novice quarterback Bo Nix had a tough game with three interceptions on his account. Yet, it’s worth noting that he guided the Denver Broncos towards the opposing team’s end zone no less than thrice. Regrettably, they couldn’t convert even one of those opportunities into a touchdown.

As a gamer, I found myself caught up in another thrilling chapter of the Mahomes-Allen saga. The Chiefs and Bills went toe-to-toe in an intense battle till the end. In the initial skirmish, Kansas City managed to force a safety on Buffalo’s opening drive, thanks to a holding penalty and a costly fumble. Unfortunately, we couldn’t capitalize on this advantage during our next move. We had several chances to widen the gap, but alas, our kicker, Harrison Butker, missed a 54-yard field goal just before the end of the second quarter, leaving us with unrealized opportunities.

Buffalo temporarily led 16-12, but Kansas City still had 4 minutes and 32 seconds to respond. If they could pull off a last-second score in 2021, they certainly have enough time now. And sure enough, Travis Kelce scored a touchdown with 1 minute and 58 seconds left on the clock. This put Kansas City ahead 19-16.

Josh Allen was sacked and fumbled on his last drive, giving KC another close victory over Buffalo.

In an unexpected turn of events, standout NFL prospect Bryce Young, typically known for his prowess, had a challenging game against the Chiefs’ defense at home. To be honest, in the third quarter alone, Young tossed two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown by Trent McDuffie. The Panthers seemed to lack the edge in this matchup, particularly with running backs Miles Sanders and Chuba Hubbard sidelined due to injuries.

In a performance reminiscent of their entire season, the Chiefs’ offense excelled. Mahomes and Kelce stood out, while Pacheco had difficulty running, finishing with 16 carries for 62 yards, barely averaging four yards per attempt. However, KC still managed to secure the win.

In their first shutout this season, the Chiefs’ defense triumphed over the Raiders with a score of 20-0. Since Gardner Minshew was injured, Aidan O’Connell took on an entire game against his rival. Despite the challenge, he faced difficulties, managing to complete only 15 out of 32 passes for a total of 173 yards. However, it’s worth noting that he didn’t commit any turnovers during the loss.

The Chiefs’ offense had a tough time performing effectively. Mahomes managed to throw for only 199 yards, yet he scored a 3-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Pacheco continued to struggle, gaining 55 yards from 15 carries. But on a positive note, rookie receiver Xavier Worthy had a good game with 5 catches for 63 yards and a touchdown.

The winning streak of the Kansas City Chiefs persists after a close game against the Chargers. Trailing 27-14 in the final quarter, Patrick Mahomes swiftly connected with Rashee Rice for an 81-yard touchdown pass. This long throw was Mahomes’ best of the season and brought the Chiefs back into contention with just over four minutes left on the clock.

With just over six minutes left on the clock, the Chiefs’ offense reappeared on the field. They had scored too swiftly, as Isaiah Pacheco crossed the goal line with 3 minutes and 28 seconds remaining. Fortunately for the Chiefs, the Chargers missed a long 55-yard field goal attempt with 1 minute and 10 seconds left, enabling Kansas City to secure their seventh consecutive victory.

The streak finally ended with an ugly road loss to the Browns. It felt like I was watching Zach Wilson vs. Malik Willis instead of Mahomes vs. Watson. Both QBs threw a pair of interceptions, and Pacheco fumbled twice (recovering one) in the game. The only good offensive factor was Nick Chubb, who earned 129 yards on 29 carries.

Initially, the Chiefs performed well, leading 13-3 midway through the third quarter. However, when Nick Chubb scored a touchdown from one yard out, making the score 13-10, it appeared that anything could happen next. The Browns then added nine consecutive points to their total, with the winning touchdown in overtime. Deshaun Watson capped off the Browns’ victory by rushing for five yards.

With the loss, the Chiefs lost the #1 seed to the Bengals.

In an extraordinarily exciting matchup of the year, the Chiefs narrowly outplayed the Texans in a thrilling display of offensive prowess. Initially quiet, Kansas City exploded with 21 points in the second quarter, scoring a touchdown on a kick return by Mecole Hardman. Mahomes tossed an impressive five touchdowns, yet also threw an interception that returned for a touchdown, making the game more competitive than anticipated.

In their matchup, the Chiefs’ defensive unit had difficulty containing the Houston Texans’ group of wide receivers. Quarterback C.J. Stroud successfully connected with Stefon Diggs for 8 passes totaling 91 yards and a touchdown. Overall, Stroud managed to complete 28 throws for a total of 356 yards.

With just over one minute left, Isaiah Pacheco scored Kansas City’s decisive touchdown following a 14-yard run. Despite advancing the ball to Kansas City’s 14-yard line, Houston came up short when they attempted to pass, failing to score after four unsuccessful attempts.

As a devoted fan, I found myself on the edge of my seat as backup QB Justin Fields took over for an injured Russell Wilson with the Steelers. On his first drive, he orchestrated a stunning 7-0 lead, connecting with George Pickens for a 27-yard touchdown. However, the Chiefs’ defense proved formidable, preventing us from advancing past their 25-yard line for the rest of the game. In fact, our farthest advancement was to the Chiefs’ 29, where we managed to convert a field goal in the second quarter.

In the initial half, Mahomes and the offense took control, while in the second half, they shifted to a more conservative approach as game managers. With a 24-10 lead going into the third quarter, Kansas City leaned on their running game heavily. Pacheco had a respectable performance, gaining 86 yards on 20 carries and scoring one touchdown. Additionally, he caught 4 passes for an extra 19 yards. Ultimately, Kansas City secured their 12th victory of the season.

With their victory, the Chiefs secured the second spot in the playoffs, as the Bengals, with a 13-3 record, clinched the top position.

In the NFL, since the Bengals and Chiefs were already set as No. 1 and No. 2 seeds, we chose to keep our main players on the bench for a match in Week 18 that didn’t matter much in terms of final standings. However, it was worth noting that Bo Nix threw a long touchdown pass of 63 yards during his first drive. The game itself was rather uneventful and primarily focused on draft positioning.

In the Wild Card Round yet again, the Chiefs faced off against Miami, and just like before, they emerged triumphant. Remarkably, even with a substantial score, it was the defense that clinched the victory for their team in this instance.

In this game, Mahomes successfully passed 29 out of his 36 attempts, totaling 412 yards and tossing three touchdowns. Travis Kelce also managed to catch seven passes for 83 yards and scored twice, contributing significantly to the Kansas City offense’s high-performance. Despite only running the ball 11 times, Pacheco still managed to gain 44 yards and a touchdown, in addition to catching two passes for an extra 15 yards.

As a gamer, I’ve got to admit, Miami was hanging in there, mainly thanks to Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill. In the end, it was Hill who shone brightest with an impressive 12 catches for 153 yards and a touchdown. Not to be outdone, HB Raheem Mostert added his own punch with 15 rushes for 91 yards and a touchdown, giving us a nail-biting 28-27 lead.

1. Down the field, the Chiefs advanced and managed to score, yet they failed to convert their two-point try. In the game’s dying moments, however, Tua threw an interception to Trent McDuffie, extending Kansas City’s lead. For the moment, the Chiefs remain in the fight.

In their matchup, the Chiefs battled the number 5 ranked Ravens, whereas Cincinnati welcomed the number 6 Jaguars at home. Luckily for Kansas City, they secured yet another close win over the Ravens in the playoffs.

The defense performed exceptionally well in restricting Lamar Jackson’s impact. He managed to complete just 19 out of 33 passes and gained 34 rushing yards on 7 attempts. To add insult to injury, Zay Flowers lost the ball early in the fourth quarter, which resulted in a Kansas City touchdown, widening the gap to 27-20. It seems like Madden is mocking us with that turnover!

Certainly, the Chiefs had an opportunity to extend their lead to 28-20, but the attempt for the extra point was blocked, leaving Baltimore with a chance to level the score. Luckily for KC, that didn’t occur. Even though they trailed 20-10 at the end of the third quarter, Mahomes managed to guide his team towards the AFC Championship game.

TEAMQuarter 1Quarter 2Quarter 3Quarter 4FINAL

The Chiefs’ season concludes disappointingly as the Bengals secure a second trip to the Super Bowl in four years. Joe Burrow clearly outshone Mahomes, successfully completing 25 out of 30 passes for 279 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Ja’Marr Chase scored twice, racking up 82 yards through the air.

In this game, as well as throughout the entire season, the Chiefs’ main challenge has been their ground attack. Regrettably, Pacheco managed just 23 yards from 10 carries, producing disappointing statistics in what could be the second most crucial match of the year.

It’s worth noting that Mahomes seldom targeted Kelce, who managed just a single catch from three attempts, accumulating only 6 yards in the process. Despite this, the Chiefs are currently trailing in the game. Whether it seems plausible or not, this is their situation.

To sum up, here’s a recap of the Chiefs’ 2024 Season Outcome as predicted by Madden 25. We trust you enjoyed perusing this preview, or simply skimming to find out the final results. Stay tuned for more exciting content as we approach the start of the season in September.
