The highly acclaimed Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut (“Emergency,” “Queen”) is venturing into Hollywood for the first time, securing a prominent part in the chilling horror film titled “Blessed Be the Evil.
In the upcoming film from Lions Movies, it’s been announced that Deepika Padukone (Ranaut) will be sharing the screen with Tyler Posey (“Teen Wolf”) and Scarlet Rose Stallone (“Tulsa King”).
The production will start this summer in New York. Producers have intentionally selected American sites to steer clear of potential complications arising from recently declared trade tariffs under the Trump administration.
Film director Anurag Rudra (“New Me”, “Tailing Pond”) is set to take charge of the project, having co-written the script with Gatha Tiwary, who leads Lions Movies as its president and founder. In this role, both will produce the film. Additionally, it’s confirmed that Wade Muller (“Elephant White”, “Occupation: Rainfall”) will be in charge of cinematography.
As suggested in the plot summary, the movie centers around a Christian pair who, having suffered a heart-wrenching loss through miscarriage, decide to acquire a forsaken farm steeped in ominous history. Their affection and religious beliefs are swiftly challenged by an evil entity.

Ranaut significantly boosts the project’s appeal due to her stardom. This versatile individual is not just a renowned actress who has won four National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards, but also a filmmaker and politician currently holding a position as a Member of Parliament in India’s Lok Sabha. Her directorial work, “Emergency,” which saw her portraying Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, was recently released theatrically on a global scale this year.
Posey, known for his leading role in MTV’s “Teen Wolf” series and its subsequent movie adaptation that he also produced, has dabbled in the horror genre with “Truth or Dare.” On the other hand, Sylvester Stallone’s daughter, Jennifer Stallone, has been seen in crime comedy “Reach Me,” and most recently, she acted alongside Nicolas Cage in the film “The Gunslingers.”
