Kane Hodder and Bill Moseley, two undeniable stars within the horror genre, are teaming up for Brian McQuery’s upcoming project titled “Covet“. Kane Hodder played the role of Jason Voorhees in four different movies, while Bill Moseley is renowned for his portrayal of Otis B. Driftwood in “The Devil’s Rejects“.
When a dishonest car salesman is falsely accused of murdering his mistress, he sets out to clear his name, but soon discovers the entities responsible might not be entirely human.
Hodder has been a consistent presence within the Friday the 13th series since he donned the iconic mask for the first time in the 1988 film, Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. He was the inaugural actor to reprise the role of Jason Voorhees, appearing as the masked slasher in Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, and Jason X. Rumors circulated about Hodder’s return for Freddy vs. Jason, but Canadian stuntman and actor Ken Kirzinger was ultimately cast instead. Additionally, Hodder brought the horror legend Leatherface to life via stunts in Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III. He has also made appearances in video games, portraying Jason in various titles, as well as Leatherface in 2023’s adaptation of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Bill Moseley is another veteran actor who made his mark in the franchise’s second installment in 1986, portraying the villainous character Chop Top – a peculiar source of dark humor. Moseley has also graced the screens in the gothic rock opera movie “Repo! The Genetic Opera,” and another musical horror project titled “Alleluia! The Devil’s Carnival.” However, his most prominent role might be that of Otis B. Driftwood in Rob Zombie’s Firefly trilogy, including “House of 1,000 Corpses,” “The Devil’s Rejects,” and “3 From Hell.
McQuery expressed his excitement about working with Kane in a role that leverages both his imposing demeanor and humor. He’s eager to see Bill Moseley’s interpretation of Sheriff Troy. In a statement, he added that having horror icons like Kane Hodder and Bill Moseley on the same screen, combined with Brian’s unique script, is exactly the kind of terror Worlds Apart has been seeking. The team can’t wait to bring Brian’s creative vision to life, delivering the chills, scares, and nostalgia that horror enthusiasts crave.
