Kai Cenat says he’s scrapping future Streamer University plans amid hate

Kai Cenat abandoned his intention for a second Streamer University following the initial one, due to negativity from certain content creators.

For several years now, Kai Cenat has been instrumental in assisting numerous content creators to rise to prominence on Twitch. As an esteemed member of AMP, he frequently collaborates with personalities such as IShowSpeed, Fanum, and Ray on diverse initiatives.

Towards the end of February, Kai announced the launch of Streamer University – an initiative designed to support fellow creators. He’s managed to secure a college campus for its location, purchased extensive streaming gear, and enlisted renowned streamers as educators for various courses.

Well, I’ve faced some criticism about the game developers I chose to invite to my workshops. To be honest, this response has made me reconsider hosting another event like this.

Streamer University may not return

He expressed, “This thought might stir great enthusiasm for some, yet remember, dear creator, it’s not necessary that this concept defines your identity as an artist.

I will not do this frustrating task ever again. No matter where I turn or how carefully I try to manage things, it always seems to go wrong for me. My bank statements are becoming increasingly confusing due to this situation. Nobody is compensated fairly for being involved in this mess.

The popular Twitch personality emphasized that the project was primarily designed to assist fellow creators, yet he continues to face criticism and negativity.

Kai Cenat withdraws from Streamer University, vowing never to return due to the substantial financial investment he made to create a memorable experience for streamers, only to be met with more negativity. 😥

It’s been mentioned that Kai has unveiled several individuals contributing to the project. Among them, DDG, Duke Dennis, Extra Emily, and Dontai will be taking on professor roles.

150 students, who are also streamers, will be in attendance. As they embark on their learning journey, significant growth is expected. However, it’s worth noting that they might be the very first group to graduate from Streamer University.
