As a seasoned gamer with years of streaming under my belt, I must say, Kai Cenat’s move to donate a portion of his Mafiathon 2 revenue to charity is nothing short of inspiring. Having followed Kai’s journey from the get-go, I can attest to his genuine love for gaming and his community. His decision to invest in education for children in Nigeria shows not only his philanthropic spirit but also his dedication to making a difference beyond the virtual world.
Kai Cenat announced that a portion of the income generated during his Subathon event, Mafiathon 2, will instead be donated to charity.
During Kai Cenat’s initial Twitch subathon in March 2023, it appeared as if he wouldn’t need to host another one. This streaming prodigy amassed a staggering 306,621 subscribers by the end of his month-long stream, a feat that remained unmatched for more than a year.
However, that all changed at the end of September. VTuber Ironmouse smashed through Kai’s record, amassing 326,252 subscribers. The AMP star praised the VTuber for breaking the record but confirmed that he’d be coming back with a second subathon – Mafiathon 2.
Kai’s supporters are confident that he will eventually reach 400,000 subscribers during the subathon, which would not only help him regain the record but also earn him a significant amount of money. Yet, it’s important to note that he won’t be keeping all the earnings for himself.
The AMP star has revealed that he’ll be donating money from his month-long stream to help schools in Nigeria.
Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Nigeria and fell in love with it. For the next 30 days during my live streams, a generous 20% of all earnings will be directly donated to the school I’m still constructing for the children of Mokoko,” he shared on Instagram.
The entire project will be funded personally, covering all expenses such as salaries, classroom facilities, and uniforms, starting from tomorrow, for 20% of the month of November.
Speaking as an enthusiast, I’m sharing that I’ve been impressed by Kai’s dedication to his Subathon. Notably, he gained traction after presenting it at a Boston Celtics game. What caught my attention was the addition of Kim Kardashian for the trailer. On top of that, Lil Uzi has joined in at the beginning of this venture, and there are more celebrities lined up for the rest of the month.
It’s been suggested by some supporters that IShowSpeed might also join the event, considering his connection with Kai. If he does, it wouldn’t come as a complete surprise.
