Kai Cenat shared that his break from Twitch was necessary because he’s focusing on building a career in fashion.
By the beginning of October 2025, Kai Cenat was once again the most popular streamer on Twitch. This time, however, he reached a new milestone, surpassing one million subscribers – a new personal best.
Kai finished his third and final Mafiathon stream with special appearances by LeBron James and Twitch CEO Dan Clancy. Shortly after, he stopped streaming on Twitch and hasn’t been seen live on the platform since.
Starting off 2026, the popular musician announced he’s been quietly building a YouTube channel and following his love for fashion. He’s now launching his own clothing brand called Vivet.
Kai Cenat has ‘indulged’ in fashion amid Twitch break
Lots of viewers have been wondering when he’ll be back on Twitch and if he’ll explain why he took a break.
Kai recently told TMZ on January 15th that his break has been really enjoyable and much needed.
I really needed to focus on my fashion line because it’s something I’m passionate about and requires a lot of effort. That’s why I paused my streaming schedule – to dedicate the necessary time to it.
Cenat had mentioned struggling with feelings of self-doubt and was taking a break to focus on his well-being.
He shared on X back in December that he’d been dealing with mental health challenges for several months, stemming from a lack of confidence and fear of failing to reach his goals.
Kai hasn’t said when he’ll be back on Twitch, but he has mentioned that his Streamer University will return in 2026.
