At the Rolling Loud festival, Kai Cenat was encouraged to violate Twitch’s streaming regulations when he appeared alongside Playboi Carti on stage.
When Playboi Carti announced that, after five long years, he’d be dropping a new album, the hip-hop community was set ablaze. The album – I AM MUSIC – had been expected to be released on March 13, however, Carti left everyone waiting.
Kai Cenat was at the forefront of that, with the Twitch star having over 300,000 watch him waiting for the release. He also spoke to the ‘Whole Lotta Red’ hitmaker a few times for updates, with Carti also suggesting that they will, at some point, do a 24-hour stream together.
As the rapper headlined part of Rolling Loud festival on March 16, the pair linked up, with Kai being pulled on stage to join him, The Weeknd, and others.
Rolling Loud asked Kai Cenat for huge Twitch raid
Undeniably, the AMP star drew a staggeringly large crowd of viewers, with numbers exceeding 100,000 at certain moments. This far surpassed the viewership on the festival’s official stream.
When Kai teamed up with Carti on stage, they invited him to attack their audience, a move that could have drawn his online followers towards them. Initially, Kai agreed, but then he understood that such an action would violate the rules of engagement.
Listen folks, it’s a bummer, but When we reach over 70,000 viewers, no one can raid our stream. Can you believe it? I can’t!
Kai Cenat was asked by one of the owners of Rolling Loud to raid their Twitch channel halfway through Playboi Carti’s set and he said yes but he can’t do it because Twitch rules don’t allow channels with over 70,000 viewers to raid another channel 😭

Plenty of viewers were surprised to hear that from Kai, noting they’ve never heard of such a rule. “THERES A CAP ON HOW MUCH U CAN RAID?!?!, WHAT?!?!” one said. “I’ve actually never heard of this twitch rule before,” another chimed in.
As per Twitch’s guidelines, channels can set the maximum number of viewers that they’d like to get from a raid. They can also ignore that and not set a number. However, the figure Kai mentions is likely a limitation from the streaming service on the server side of things. Either way, he wasn’t getting himself in trouble.
