K-Pop fans are visiting a temple to pray for BTS concert tickets

K-Pop fans in Taiwan are praying to a deity, hoping to get tickets to see BTS in concert.

BTS is currently the most popular Korean boy band in the world, and their fanbase continues to expand. This year is shaping up to be big for them, with the release of their latest album, Arirang, and the start of a new world tour.

World Tour Arirang is the first international concert for the group since all seven members finished their required military service. As a result, tickets have been very hard to get.

In Taiwan, fans hoping to get tickets to a popular event have been praying at a temple, believing a deity will help make their wish come true.

BTS fans turn to god for concert tickets

I’ve been hearing that a lot of us ARMY are visiting Bangka Lungshan Temple in Taipei, Taiwan! It’s a really old and beautiful temple – over 288 years old! – and apparently, we’re all going there to pray to Yue Lao, the Taoist god of love and marriage, and leave offerings. It’s so sweet to see everyone showing their love for BTS in such a unique way!

Getting tickets to see BTS in concert is incredibly difficult, so many fans believe that praying to the God of Love is the best way to succeed. One fan explained it’s like finding a match – you’re hoping for a connection! Another added that if you really have faith, your wish for tickets might actually come true.

When tickets for BTS’s concert were in incredibly high demand, Taiwanese fans turned to a unique source of help: Yue Lao, the Taoist god of love. They visited a temple in Taipei and left offerings in the group’s signature color, purple, hoping for good luck. These gifts included BTS merchandise, seating plans, and written wishes.

Fans are showing their dedication to BTS by leaving offerings like merchandise, purple gifts, and treats near a prayer area. They’re even including concert seating charts, hoping Yue Lao, a Taoist deity, will help them get the seats they want. It’s uncertain if their prayers will be answered, but they’re optimistic that, with a little hope, they’ll be able to attend the Arirang concert.

BTS began their 2026 world tour in Goyang, South Korea, on April 9th, and it will continue through March 2027, visiting 34 cities around the globe.
