Just One Episode Will Make Up The Final Season Of Good Omens Amid Neil Gaiman Allegations

As a long-time fan of Neil Gaiman‘s captivating storytelling and the enchanting world he weaves, I find myself at a crossroads regarding the final chapter of Good Omens. The series has been a delightful journey filled with wit, humor, and a unique blend of heavenly and infernal characters.

Previously this year, author Neil Gaiman faced allegations of sexual misconduct by several women, potentially jeopardizing the renewal of his Prime Video series, Good Omens. Despite already being renewed for Season 3, Gaiman expressed his willingness to step back to ensure the show’s continuation. The decision regarding the series has been made, and Good Omens’ final season will now consist of a single episode instead.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the last installment of Good Omens will span 90 minutes as a full-length feature episode. Despite this, Neil Gaiman won’t take part in the production of the finale, although he is believed to have provided input on the script. Filming for the final episode is scheduled to take place in Scotland during the early months of next year.

Good Omens is adapted from a novel with the same title by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. The renowned actor David Tennant portrays Crowley, a devil who forges an unlikely bond with an angel named Aziraphale, played by Michael Sheen. As they both relish their existence on Earth, they team up to postpone the impending Armageddon.

Before the accusations of misconduct surfaced, Neil Gaiman had agreed to a multi-year development contract with Amazon Prime Video. It isn’t certain what will happen with that agreement, but there is at least one more show produced by Gaiman set to appear on Amazon Prime. The series “Anansi Boys,” adapted from one of Gaiman’s novels, has already been filmed and is anticipated to debut on Amazon Prime Video in 2025.
