Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, Episode 3 features the debut of several new characters who will be important in the story’s next major arc, the Culling Game.
Okay, so it looks like Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is kicking things off with a prep arc – basically setting the stage for a huge, deadly battle royale orchestrated by Kenjaku. It’s building up to throwing all our favorite characters right into the thick of it!
Okay, so in this game, a bunch of legendary jujutsu masters have been brought back to life, and it’s also unlocked this crazy power called cursed energy in a few regular people – like, me in the game! It’s wild being one of the newly powered-up ones.
The third episode features a variety of characters, including some familiar faces and a brand new one. Despite their differences, they all play a crucial role in moving the story forward.
Hana Kurusu
In Episode 3, Tengen reveals that the key to freeing Gojo from the Prison Realm is Hana Kurusu.
Thanks to the Culling Game, the powerful ancient sorcerer Angel has reincarnated inside Hana.
Angel’s curse-cancelling technique is currently the only way to get Gojo back.
Kogane
Kogane is a spirit created by the sorcerer Kenjaku to oversee the Culling Game. Kenjaku designed the game’s rules to ensure it would continue running even after his death.
Kogane uses spirit-like beings called Shikigami to connect the game with the players, so he’s expected to show up frequently in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3.
Fumihiko Takaba
Fumihiko Takaba is a former comedian who unexpectedly develops cursed energy during the Culling Game, despite not being a sorcerer. He’s unpredictable and possesses a surprisingly large amount of potential.
Before fully mastering his skills, his unusual methods will likely confuse both the people around him and those watching.
