Jujutsu Kaisen confirms another character survived the same attack that killed Gojo

As a die-hard Jujutsu Kaisen fan with years of dedication to this breathtaking manga, I must say that the upcoming Volume 28 is shaping up to be a game-changer! The redrawn fight between Yuta and Sukuna promises to be even more captivating than before. But what truly has me on the edge of my seat is the revelation that Yuta, against all odds, survived the World Cutting Slash – a feat that took down the formidable Satoru Gojo!

Despite the fact that the Jujutsu Kaisen manga has concluded its storyline, an unexpected development arises: a different character managed to survive an attack identical to the one that previously claimed the life of Gojo.

On October 5, 2024, the 28th volume of Jujutsu Kaisen will hit the shelves, featuring an enhanced depiction of Yuta’s battle with Sukuna. This rematch has been refined to deliver a smoother and more polished presentation than before.

The volume also confirms that Sukuna used the World Cutting Slash on Yuta, which killed the strongest sorcerer in the modern era. After Gojo’s and Sukuna’s deaths, Yuta is easily the strongest character in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Yuta too had his body split apart similar to Gojo, yet managed to live due to the Reverse Cursed Skill of Rika.

The nature of the attack Yuta suffered wasn’t clarified in the weekly version but the scene has now been leaked, proving the young sorcerer really did showcase an incredible feat.

Yet, as some fans were skeptical about it being a World Cutting Slash, the leaker clarified, “It wouldn’t require Chants and Hand pointing if not for the World Slash. If he intended to use reinforced dismantle instead, it wouldn’t penetrate as it only provides a 20% increase from its low output. Conversely, World Slash nullifies durability.

A fan commented, “At times, showing people the sequence of panels doesn’t make them understand it’s a ‘world splitting’ scene. These are the four panels, folks. He used a specific hand gesture and chanted during Yuji’s two-page monologue, followed by a burned hand indicating the slash.

“Despite people claiming they don’t recognize the hand signal for WCS, it doesn’t require visual confirmation. In this case, the individual kept both arms raised, and we heard the chants. Later, he pointed with one arm, indicating that his arms were initially held together before being released to perform both gestures, which we were able to observe at the end.
