As a seasoned cinephile who has seen the rise and fall of countless stars, I can confidently say that Margo Martindale is undoubtedly one of the most versatile and captivating actresses gracing our screens today. Her latest role in the upcoming JonBenét Ramsey limited series at Paramount+ is yet another testament to her unparalleled talent.

Actress Margo Martindale is set to appear in the upcoming JonBenét Ramsey miniseries on Paramount+.

In their upcoming series, Martindale will make a special appearance, joining the already announced principal actors Melissa McCarthy, Clive Owen, Emily Mitchell, Garrett Hedlund, Alison Pill, Owen Teague, Clifton Collins Jr., Rory Cochrane, Chris Bauer, Angus Caldwell, Shea Whigham, Will Patton, Jaime Ray Newman, and Josh Stamberg.

Entitled “JonBenét Ramsey: An Untold Story,” this series delves into the heart-wrenching unsolved murder of six-year-old beauty queen JonBenét Ramsey (Mitchell). The narrative unfolds the experiences of the Ramsey family, both before and after the tragic event, as they grapple with the loss of a child amidst the storm caused by a frenzied media attention that made this case a national obsession. At its core, the series tells the tale of Patsy (McCarthy) and John Ramsey (Owen), examining the unyielding bond between these intricate individuals – as spouses, as parents – who dedicated their lives to constructing an image of a flawless, privileged existence, only for it to crumble on a fateful Christmas night in 1996.

In the upcoming production, Martindale has been cast as Nedra, a character portrayed as strong-willed, direct, frank, and not hesitant to express her thoughts openly.

In the past few weeks, Martindale has been announced as a new guest star for an upcoming role. Back in September, it was revealed that she will feature in Season 2 of the Peacock series “Poker Face”. Throughout her career, Martindale has garnered three Emmys for Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series – two for “The Americans” and one for “Justified”. Her recent work includes the film “Cocaine Bear”, as well as shows like “Your Honor” on Showtime, “The Accused” on Fox, “Mrs. Davis” on Peacock, “Mrs. America” on Hulu, and “The Watcher” on Netflix. Prior to this, she appeared in the series “Impeachment: American Crime Story,” where she played a character based on Hillary Clinton. Notably, she also lent her voice to a highly-fictionalized version of herself in the popular Netflix animated series “BoJack Horseman”. Upcoming, Martindale is set to star in the Amazon series “The Sticky”, which focuses on the infamous Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist.

She is repped by Gersh and Wolf Kasteler.

Richard LaGravense, Harrison Query, and Tommy Wallach are the writers and executive producers of the series. Notably, LaGravense is also the showrunner. The project was sold to MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios by Query and Wallach. Among the eight episodes, four will be directed by executive producer Anne Sewitsky. David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, and David Hutkin from 101 Studios are also serving as executive producers. McCarthy is not only an executive producer but also a star in this production.
