However, given the tumultuous state of our world today, Jonathan has decided to take a brief hiatus from acting next year. Instead, he will devote his time and energy to The Shameless Fund – an endeavor close to his heart that promises to make a significant difference in many lives. This shift in focus signifies not just a pause in his acting career, but also a testament to his commitment towards using his influence for the greater good.
Bailey established The Unashamed Grant with a mission to foster safer, more liberated lives for individuals identifying as part of the LGBTQ+ community. He elaborated, “In the coming months, my focus will be on recruiting staff effectively and ensuring we have the right personnel in the appropriate roles.” Additionally, he highlighted an eye-opening statistic by stating, “Out of every £100 donated within the UK, only 1 penny reaches the LGBTQ+ community. Previously, Bailey partnered with Cubitts on a sunglasses line aimed at boosting support and donations for The Shameless Fund. In his own words, “I’ve been sporting Cubitts for about ten years now. During my initial fitting for Jurassic World, there were numerous optical options available. However, I instantly picked Cubitts because of our previous connection.”
These new designs, christened Loomis after his character Dr. Henry Loomis from Jurassic World, incorporate rose-tinted lenses and elements that reflect the charity’s essence.
In his own words, Bailey confessed that his fondness for glasses began at a young age. Although he possesses perfect vision, he once went as far as fabricating an NHS eye exam to obtain glasses. Reflecting back, he humorously admitted it might have been the best act he ever performed.
As Bailey considers departing, there’s chatter in the industry about whether his temporary absence could impact the release date of Jurassic World 5. If he reprises his role, an extended break might postpone filming, but a brief period away may not alter the production plans significantly.
