JonasCon: Everything That Happened and What Got Announced

In the near future, on Pop Culture Jeopardy, a team may buzz in to respond, “What is JonasCon?” to a question from Colin Jost. And my response would be, “What is a gathering of fans?” JonasCon, a one-day convention held in New Jersey, where the Jonas Brothers hail from, was dedicated to everything Nick, Joe, and Kevin. It included a Jonas Museum filled with memorabilia like merchandise from their It’s About Time tour and clothing from the Disney Channel Games, as well as escape rooms, laser tag, and other activities. Interestingly, they also offered various activities because it was apparent that attendees were there primarily to see the brothers. The day featured several performances, some for all ages and others in the adult-only section where they likely had a chance to unwind, given that it was an indoor waterpark.

Who was at JonasCon?

At JonasCon, apart from performances by Kevin, Nick, and Joe, there were also acts like The All American Rejects, Franklin Jonas (also known as Bonus Jonas), and Deleasa. Additionally, other Jonas Brothers-related artists such as DNCE, Nick Jonas’ solo career, and Big Rob were there. The Camp Rock cast members Anna Maria Perez De Tagle (Ella), Matthew Finley (Luke), and Meaghan Martin (Tess) made a surprise visit to entertain the campers who are fans of their Disney Channel Original Movie. Even Big Time Rush from Nickelodeon joined in for a song collaboration. The event also featured Jay Shetty, a celebrity life coach and podcaster, as well as a live podcast session by Bar Stool’s Chicks in the Office. JonasCon welcomed all forms of artistic expression under one roof with a microphone.

Okay, has anyone checked on Scheana Shay?

JonasCon has a real impact on her. Shay returned, playing Maria the Pizza Girl again in the Disney Channel series ‘Jonas’. In this episode, the brothers are smitten by Maria which led to the song “Pizza Girl”. After her performance, she posed for a photo with Nick, Kevin, and Joe at the festival. She wore a red hat (not a suggestive one) and a white long-sleeved shirt resembling a restaurant uniform, rather than a bandana mini dress. Her brief appearance wasn’t just about celebrating pizza; she also announced her upcoming memoir titled “My Good Side”. Perhaps it will include a chapter dedicated to the Jonas brothers.

Anything else coming from the brothers?

Exciting times are ahead for the Jonas Brothers! This autumn, I’m eagerly anticipating their tour with Marshmello – what a fantastic pairing! Their upcoming album, “Greetings from Your Hometown,” will undoubtedly be a testament to the next 20 years of the Jonas Brothers. Not only that, but they’re set to be inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame this year, which is truly a homecoming honor!

In the spirit of the holiday season, their upcoming Christmas movie will also feature an accompanying album. As if that weren’t enough, Joe Jonas has plans to release some solo work as well. And who knows? Perhaps, as a heartfelt gesture, they might even remix “Good as Gold” as a special thank you to their beloved pizza girl!
