JoJo Siwa demonstrates her ability to handle challenging situations, as she once helped Tom Sandoval climb a hill. Given this, it’s clear that she can manage even the unconventional company of Mickey Rourke. Both celebrities are currently on the U.K.’s Celebrity Big Brother, and by day two, their relationship is strained. It appears that Rourke, aged 72, has shown homophobic tendencies towards Siwa, a 21-year-old. According to the BBC, Rourke questioned Siwa about her sexual orientation, to which she replied, “Girls. My partner is nonbinary.” Rourke then stated, “If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore.” He also threatened to vote out Siwa due to her sexuality and casually used a derogatory term for a cigarette while Siwa was nearby. Later, Rourke was summoned to the Diary Room where he was warned about his language and behavior. When confronted about his actions, Rourke offered an apology which Siwa graciously accepted.
While kindness from Siwa is certainly appealing, it might be more efficient if Big Brother could simply communicate using her language instead. Interestingly, Rourke had a boxing career that spanned for many years, even during his movie career’s downturn in the ’90s.
