Johnny Somali HIT With ANOTHER Charge in South Korea

In the wake of Johnny Somali’s resurgence on YouTube with menacing promises to “wreak havoc” upon Japan, South Korea has levied an additional charge against him as we approach his impending trial. As a devoted fan, I find it alarming and intriguing to follow these developments closely.

Johnny Somali, whose true identity is Ramsey Khalid Ismael, currently finds himself detained in South Korea, waiting for his trial following a series of disruptive incidents throughout the nation. These incidents involved damaging shops, causing disturbances on city streets, and even disrupting public transport systems.

For several months, the broadcaster, previously prohibited from streaming on Kick due to his actions in Israel, disappeared following an assault by a former Korean Special Forces soldier. This soldier attacked him for showing disrespect towards the Statue of Peace, a memorial honoring the victims of sexual slavery during World War II.

In spite of facing accusations related to business disruption and other possible penalties yet to come, Somali resurfaced in February 2025, suggesting he would create a stir in Busan and making threats against Japan in a YouTube video.

Meanwhile, similar to how Somali resumed creating content, it’s said that South Korea promptly retaliated by allegedly filing another accusation against him.

Legal Mindset, YouTube’s legal analyst following the Somali case, reported that a formal English version of Ismael’s third indictment was delivered to him.

As I was chilling at my buddy’s place, Hank Yoo (a well-known figure in our gaming community), I received a rather intriguing message. Seems like there’s some buzz surrounding him again.

On February 19th, Ramsey Khalid Ismael received a formal court translation of his third indictment at the home of his associate Heon Jong Yoo.

The Legal Mindset stated that the current charge represents a secondary offense under the Minor Crimes Act, following an initial charge against TopMob. While the potential penalty for this infraction might only result in a fine if found guilty, accumulating these charges paints a more severe picture of his alleged transgressions as a whole.

Additionally, it’s not possible for Somali to depart from Korea until a thorough investigation into the accusations against him has been completed, at which point they may proceed to trial or be dropped.

The other accusations against him are far more serious and could result in significant jail time.

So far, he’s been accused of violating anti-terrorism laws, threatening to sexually assault female streamers, drug use, creating AI deepfakes of other creators, violating the Railroad Act and even spreading North Korean propaganda.
