John Carpenter Says He’ll Score Bong Joon Ho’s Next Movie

Over the weekend, director Bong Joon Ho secured a significant victory: John Carpenter, renowned for his busy schedule in video game scoring, agreed to take time off to compose music for Bong’s upcoming horror film. The announcement was made during a 4K restoration screening of “The Thing,” where Director Bong expressed his plans for his next-next movie to be a horror flick. Intrigued by the prospect, Carpenter enthusiastically expressed his desire to create the soundtrack, stating, “I want to do your score.” Before Bong could finish asking, Carpenter agreed, and they sealed the deal with a handshake on stage. This agreement is legally binding in many states!

Director Bong Joon Ho, an ardent admirer of John Carpenter, couldn’t hide his excitement when he found out that Carpenter had previously sat on The Late Show’s couch.
