Joe Locke Reveals Shocking Truth About Billy’s Mother That Will Leave You Speechless!

Joe Locke made a stunning entrance playing Billy Maximoff/Wiccan, son of Wanda Maximoff, who turned out to be an intriguing character with a unique twist: Billy is essentially two individuals. He’s the young boy born from Wanda’s dream world… and he’s also William Kaplan, the teenager whose body Billy inhabited following his death in a car accident.

It goes without saying that this situation adds layers of complexity to Wiccan’s existence. Fortunately, Locke has delved deeply into understanding Billy’s motivations and emotions post-Agatha All Along. In a recent interview with a magazine, he discussed these very topics.

He goes by Billy, but his real name is William,” he mentioned. “It’s a peculiar aspect of his identity that he accepts being both Billy Maximoff and himself, finding comfort in this duality. By the conclusion, it seems like he was on a journey to discover who he truly is, and through the Witch’s Road, he uncovers his true self.

He continued, “I believe he’s trying to reconcile his identity, yet ultimately understands that he can embody both roles as he views the Kaplans as his parents. There’s a moment when she seems to confuse him, and he says, ‘She’s not my mom. I have a mom.’ He has deep affection for these individuals, his family, but he is also Billy Maximoff, which brings its own complexities, possibly hinting at a future exploration of his character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.” This statement suggests a strong possibility that Wiccan might reappear in the MCU in the future.

It is known that Billy was the one who brought The Witch’s Road into existence, a concept that was merely imaginary before. Regrettably, this very road claimed numerous lives. Consequently, Locke believes that Billy may be ridden with guilt over these tragic deaths.

He carries immense regret because he unintentionally took the lives of three friends,” he pondered. “If I’m given another chance to portray him, I want to delve deeper into that aspect. He isn’t inherently evil, but his actions led to tragic consequences.

Locke Wasn’t Careful About Marvel Security

When a Marvel project begins, its actors are given stringent guidelines to maintain secrecy about the plot. However, Locke found it challenging to adhere to these rules. In an interview with Playlist, he admitted, “I’m not great at keeping secrets; I shared the role I was playing with all my friends and family.” Fortunately, none of them disclosed the information.

Locke explained, “I’ve shared the big surprise with a few of my friends. I felt like I needed to let it out, couldn’t keep it all bottled up. Marvel isn’t as intimidating as they might seem when keeping secrets, at least not to me. However, I wasn’t about to broadcast it. I was just confiding in my friends. You see, the first time I wore my superhero outfit, I secretly took photos and hid them in a private folder on my phone, fearing that Marvel security might check my device. Thankfully, they didn’t, but during filming in Atlanta, I couldn’t resist taking pictures of everything around me.

Hopefully he’ll be more careful when he inevitably returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
