Joan Rivers Tribute Special to Air on NBC With Nikki Glaser, Bill Maher, Tracy Morgan and More

On May 13th, NBC will broadcast a heartfelt tribute to the legendary comedian Joan Rivers, featuring her dearest friends, collaborators, and admirers. Following this, on May 14th, an extended and uncensored version of the tribute will be streamed on Peacock.

During the 2024 New York Comedy Festival, a unique event is being recorded. This event promises an entertaining mix of stand-up comedy, musical performances, and guest appearances by renowned personalities like Nikki Glaser, Bill Maher, Tracy Morgan, Aubrey Plaza, and Sarah Silverman.

In addition to Louis C.K., you’ll find Rachel Brosnahan, Margaret Cho, Tiffany Haddish, Chelsea Handler, Neil Patrick Harris, Howie Mandel, Joel McHale, Patton Oswalt, Jean Smart, Rita Wilson, and even Louis C.K.’s daughter, Melissa Rivers, on the roster for this event as well.

As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the uncut version of the upcoming special will include some hilarious comedians who are still under wraps. Mark your calendars, folks! You’ll get another chance to watch it on NBC during an encore broadcast on June 5th.

As a devoted movie enthusiast, I can’t help but express that this celebration echoes exactly what my mom would have cherished – a riotous, unapologetic event brimming with individuals she admired (and occasionally teased mercilessly). And just as expected, she was the life of the party, even in her absence.

It’s heartwarming to witness legendary comedians gather to honor her memory, particularly the women whose careers she nurtured and paved the way for by shattering countless barriers. I can almost hear her laughter echoing through this gathering, and I know she’d be proud of how far we’ve come. Yet, she would undoubtedly have a few suggestions for improvement. This tribute is more than just a celebration; it’s a testament to the path she blazed and the happiness she brought to countless lives.

The special television program titled “Joan Rivers: A Dead Funny All-Star Tribute” is overseen by Melissa Rivers, Chris Convy, Erich Bergen, and David Jammy from the production company Done + Dusted. Michael Matuza serves as co-executive producer for this production.
