Jimmy Kimmel Surprised That Bombshell Jeffrey Epstein Tapes About Trump Friendship Aren’t Getting More Attention

As a long-time observer of American politics, I must say that the latest revelations about Donald Trump’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein is yet another example of the surreal nature of this era. The fact that such explosive allegations have had little impact on Trump’s popularity or political standing speaks volumes about the state of our nation.

This past weekend, I came across some recently-unveiled audio tapes shared by The Daily Beast. They feature Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted pedophile, in conversation with author Michael Wolff, discussing his decade-long friendship with Donald Trump. In these recordings, Epstein claims to have been Trump’s closest companion and elaborates on several questionable activities they undertook together.

You can find audio clips from Wolff’s August 2017 interview with Epstein (which took place two years before his death in a jail cell) on the Daily Beast’s website. These startling revelations typically would be damaging enough to derail a political campaign. However, as Jimmy Kimmel, the host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, pointed out during his Monday night monologue, they seem to have had no effect.

Jimmy Kimmel commented on a recently surfaced audio tape where Jeffrey Epstein claims he and Donald Trump were close friends, sharing various wild tales. However, Kimmel remarked that this revelation had minimal impact, comparing it to Mitt Romney’s political downfall due to putting a dog carrier on his car roof. Kimmel expressed surprise that he hadn’t received any notifications about the Epstein-Trump friendship allegations on his phone. Instead, he got no messages regarding the matter.

He stated, “However, it appears that none of the numerous advocates for child welfare who adopt his stance seem to show concern over these matters. Facts and truth seem to hold little significance.

In 2017, Michael Wolff was delving into his book “Fire and Fury” during an interview with Epstein. Meanwhile, the Trump campaign dismissed the recordings as “unfounded slurs” and “meddling in the election,” according to their statement to The Daily Beast.

Kimmel posted video from a Pennsylvania event where Trump made a joke about journalists being shot. He commented, “I guess he’s telling the truth for once.” Later, he pointed out that Trump spokesperson Stephen Cheung tried to claim that the remark wasn’t about harming the media, but in the recording, Trump can be heard saying he “wouldn’t mind” reporters getting shot.

As a seasoned movie reviewer, let me tell you, in a tone reminiscent of someone who has proudly graduated from a prestigious institution, just like Trump University (if such a thing existed), that’s how Kimmel delivered his line.

He suggested, “Put aside your political allegiances for a moment. Consider a world where you wake up, read the news, and neither ‘Donald’ nor ‘Trump’ are mentioned – just everyday, unremarkable news. No more lawn signs, red hats, or heated debates with your grandfather. Instead, you check the sports, Al Roker gives the weather report, and off to work you go. Isn’t that a pleasant thought? Let’s get rid of this tumor-like issue from our national consciousness and move forward. And remember, don’t forget to cast your vote!
