Jimmy Kimmel Mocks Tesla for Cybertruck Recall, Roasts the Conservatives Defending Elon Musk and Claiming ‘Left-Wing Lunatics’ Are Burning Their Teslas

Jimmy Kimmel refuses to back down from his jabs at Elon Musk, and he’s not giving conservative critics a pass either, who seem upset with Kimmel for still poking fun at Tesla owners who supposedly wrecked their vehicles as a form of protest against Musk.

The individual who owns a Tesla attempted to attribute the vehicle damage to “some form of mental instability,” however, Kimmel pointed out that many individuals are upset with Musk due to his apparent repetition of a Nazi salute during an inauguration event for Donald Trump. In addition, the late-night host brought up the fact that earlier this year, Musk waved a chainsaw in celebration of the Department of Government Efficiency reducing government spending, leading to thousands of job losses from the federal workforce. Consequently, it appears that people have a general dislike for Musk and are expressing their frustration by damaging Teslas as a form of protest.

Jimmy Kimmel commented in his recent show on March 20th, stating that Tesla is experiencing a tough week as they’ve issued a recall for almost all their 46,000 Cybertrucks, making it the eighth recall since its debut in November of 2023. This equates to approximately one recall every two months.

Jimmy Kimmel pointed out that he mentioned several Teslas were damaged by fire at a Tesla plant in Las Vegas last night. The authorities are now looking into which specific Teslas were torched, and if any caught fire on their own accord,” Kimmel added humorously. “However, people are frustrated with Elon Musk for seemingly terminating jobs of thousands of Americans, including veterans, without warning. Interestingly enough, the MAGA group, who have been against any form of violent protests since early 2021, are particularly upset by this.

As a movie buff, I’d rephrase it like this: “Later, I switched to conservative talk shows on Fox News and News Nation where they were lambasting ‘radical leftists’ (that’s what Sean Hannity referred to them as). They threatened those damaging Teslas, saying, “If you dare touch a Tesla, we won’t hesitate to respond.” One host even expressed admiration for Elon Musk, while another suggested, in a rather aggressive tone, that we might need to take a page out of Kyle Rittenhouse’s security playbook when dealing with these Tesla vandals.

Indeed, indeed. However, if someone attempts to use a taser on a police officer at the Capitol, as Musk is being defended by conservatives, Kimmel retorted with a jest. He suggested that everyone should simply unwind with a Bud Light instead.”

Or more casually:

“Kimmel replied with a laugh when conservatives defended Musk for tasing a cop at the Capitol. He suggested we all grab a cold one, a Bud Light perhaps, and chill out.

In the March 19th episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, Jimmy Kimmel made fun of Musk because he was trying to get sympathy for Tesla after its vehicles were damaged. Musk responded by saying that Tesla is a tranquil company and he’s never done anything wrong, adding that there seems to be some sort of mental instability or illness involved in the vandalism incidents. It doesn’t add up logically.

Let me try to clarify it for you,” Kimmel replied. “When someone brandishes a chainsaw in celebration of dismissing thousands of people, they usually become upset. Goodness gracious! I mean, think about it, this individual. You do one or two gestures resembling a Nazi salute, and everyone seems to get really agitated!

Let me clarify, I understand why folks are irritated, but jokingly speaking about the increase in Tesla fires isn’t ideal for the environment. It’s unlikely that this was their intention when developing electric cars. In Las Vegas yesterday, an individual hurled a Molotov cocktail at a Tesla service center. Regrettably, it appears five Teslas were destroyed, with one from the Molotov and four seemingly due to some uncommon issue with the vehicles themselves.

It’s wrong for anyone to start fires as it can lead to someone’s death or injury. Even though Elon Musk may not value others, ordinary Americans ought to.
