The covers for this year’s edition were unveiled on Tuesday, and guess who’s one of the cover athletes? None other than Ohio State football wide receiver Jeremiah Smith! He shares the spotlight with Alabama WR Ryan Williams. Both these talented freshmen were among the top college football players last season, and I can hardly wait to see them in action in this year’s game!
In the regular edition of the game, Jeremiah Smith and Ryan Williams grace the cover; however, the luxury edition showcases numerous additional players and coaches. Previous cover athletes, such as Denard Robinson, Tim Tebow, and Reggie Bush, are also included. For Jeremiah Smith, this is a significant milestone that holds great importance to him.

However, the 2024 season was unusual in that both Williams and Smith were among the best players in the country as true freshmen. Now, they are gracing the cover of this popular video game.
Williams shared that many people might think he’s still young, but the oldest person he can remember is Mark Ingram. From there up to 2014, playing those games has a special place in his heart. If given the chance to be on the cover, it would mean everything to him. Reflecting back to when he was known as little Ryan at home, he imagines how thrilled he’d be if he could see what’s happening now. It’s truly a blessing and incredibly exciting. Reminiscing about all those memories – playing mascot mode, Road of Glory, and more – they bring back fond memories that almost make him emotional due to their excitement.
