The action series “Countdown,” starring Jensen Ackles and Eric Dane, has scheduled its debut for June 25th. This premiere will consist of three episodes, available on Amazon Prime Video.

Amazon has revealed some previews for the upcoming series, and here they are for your viewing pleasure: The following is an overview of the series written by Derek Haas:
In broad daylight, when a Homeland Security officer is brutally murdered, LAPD detective Mark Meachum (Ackles) is enlisted into a clandestine task force. This team consists of undercover agents from various law enforcement agencies. Initially, their mission is to find the murderer, but as they delve deeper, they uncover a sinister plot that surpasses anyone’s expectations. This discovery sets off a frantic race against time to save a city with a population of millions.
More recently, Jensen Ackles played Soldier Boy in “The Boys,” a series produced by Amazon Prime Video. He is set to return to this role in the upcoming spinoff titled “Vought Rising.” Throughout his career, he has also made appearances in shows like “Gen V,” “Supernatural,” “Kings of Con,” “Justice League: Warworld,” “Dawson’s Creek,” and “Days of Our Lives.” Besides, Ackles is recognized for his role as Dr. Mark Sloan in “Grey’s Anatomy,” where he acted in 139 episodes. Additionally, he has been seen in movies such as “X-Men: The Last Stand,” “Burlesque,” and “Feast.
The ensemble is completed by Jessica Camacho, Violett Beane, Elliot Knight, and Uli Latukefu. “Watchmen,” “Death and Other Details,” “The Boys,” and “Young Rock” are among their previous works. The production of the series is overseen by Haas, with Amazon MGM Studios being responsible for it.
Previously reported by EbMaster, it’s now known that Ackles and his wife Daneel’s production company, Chaos Machine, has secured a first-look deal at Amazon MGM studios. Meanwhile, Haas has signed an overall deal with the same studio. The series “Countdown” was specifically created as a leading role for Ackles.
