Jennifer Aniston has responded to the surprise appearance in HBO’s The Last of Us, a role that went unnoticed by many viewers – and it’s easy to see why.
On April 13, during the Season 2 opener, Ellie (played by Bella Ramsey) stumbles upon a 2003 edition of People Magazine featuring Aniston on the cover, prominently displayed within the Best & Worst Dressed issue. In the world of The Last of Us, the year 2003 marked the start of the outbreak that ultimately led to a global pandemic.
In a fun and casual post on her Instagram stories, via Entertainment Weekly, Jennifer Aniston posted a picture from an episode, captioned, “Who’d have thought I’d survive the apocalypse!” with a smiley face emoji added. She also tagged the official account of The Last of Us TV series.
In a twist, although Jennifer Aniston doesn’t feature in any episodes of The Last of Us, there was an amusing incident on the red carpet involving her and Pedro Pascal, who plays Joel. They playfully bantered about sharing a romantic scene together.
The second season of “The Last of Us” is now available on HBO and Max, with fresh episodes premiering every Sunday evening at 6 PM Pacific Time and 9 PM Eastern Time. The latest episode in Season 2 presented an unexpected turn of events that was different from the video game.
Concerning the game series, Naughty Dog hasn’t unveiled any fresh installments within the franchise as of yet, and it seems that The Last of Us: Part III might not materialize. Instead, Naughty Dog is presently developing a new universe called Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, starring Tati Gabrielle, who played a character in The Last of Us.
