Jennifer Aniston Calls Friends ‘A Lifetime Commitment,’ But Has Blunt Six-Word Response When Asked About The Reboot

It’s common for actors to become strongly associated with a particular role throughout their careers, and that’s certainly true for Jennifer Aniston and the cast of *Friends*. Even though she’s currently starring in the popular series *The Morning Show* (with season four coming in 2025), many people will always remember her as Rachel Green. She recently discussed this and gave a direct answer about the possibility of a *Friends* reboot.

Jennifer Aniston Opens Up About The ‘Lifetime Commitment’ The Cast Has With Friends

Even though it ended 21 years ago, Friends is still incredibly popular. Constant TV reruns and the fact that all 10 seasons are available on HBO Max help, but it’s also the show’s endearing characters and consistently funny jokes. Jennifer Aniston and the rest of the cast probably didn’t expect such lasting success, and she recently told Harper’s Bazaar that working on the show created a strong family bond between them.

I feel incredibly close to this group – like they’re my family. I know I can always rely on them to be there for me immediately if I ever need help. It’s a strong, lasting bond, even if we sometimes have our disagreements, just like with any family.

What I would give to be able to see that text chain!

It’s wonderful to hear the cast of *Friends* are still close! Jennifer Aniston recently shared that she had dinner just a few weeks ago with Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow. Like any close group of friends, they’ve had their challenges, but Jennifer, Courteney, Lisa, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and the late Matthew Perry will always share a special bond.

So will we ever get an update on the Central Perk coffee-drinkers?

Jennifer Aniston Shuts Down The Idea Of A Future Friends Revival

In 2021, the six main actors from *Friends* reunited for a special show where they looked back at old sets, debated the famous ‘Ross and Rachel break,’ and remembered some of the show’s most memorable scenes. Jennifer Aniston believes that was the last *Friends* gathering. She stated that following Matthew Perry’s passing in 2022, any further sequels or reboots are impossible, and summed it up with a simple, six-word answer.

It would be literally, physically impossible.

It’s heartbreaking to imagine the six Friends never performing together again. Sadly, the actor who played Chandler Bing, Matthew Perry, passed away unexpectedly at age 54 after a tragic accident involving ketamine.

Even before Matthew Perry’s passing, plans for a *Friends* reboot or another reunion seemed unlikely, and Courteney Cox had already expressed that the cast wasn’t interested in revisiting the show.

Since a proper reunion isn’t happening, fans of *Friends* will have to enjoy the occasional photos and videos the cast shares when they do get together. It’s comforting to know, though, that the actors still have a close bond, just like the theme song says – they’ll always be there for each other.
