Five years since stepping away from YouTube, Jenna Marbles unexpectedly showed up in public, stirring excitement among her followers who now plead with photographers to respect her privacy.
Jenna Mourey, popularly recognized as “Jenna Marbles,” was among YouTube’s early prominent figures. But soon after launching her channel in 2010, Mourey produced content that critics found racially insensitive, including a questionable imitation of rapper Nicki Minaj.
From 2016 up until the year 2020, Marbles consistently produced content. However, netizens started criticizing her previous videos due to their questionable nature. After facing criticism from her massive fanbase of over 20 million YouTube subscribers, Mourey acknowledged her mistakes and chose to stop creating content altogether, offering an apology for any offense caused.
In a June 2020 YouTube video, Mourey stated that he can’t stay active on this channel at the moment. He mentioned he might leave this channel temporarily or permanently, as he feels it is important to ensure the content he shares doesn’t cause harm to others.
Despite being absent online for nearly five years, a well-known comedian and YouTuber named Mourey was recently spotted in public on February 21, 2025, marking one of her rare appearances since then.
That particular Friday, Mourey could be spotted taking her dogs out for a walk alongside her husband and YouTube partner, Julien Solomita. As they ambled through their LA neighborhood, Mourey dressed casually in black joggers paired with a red plaid flannel shirt.

Although her fans had been starved of content from their beloved creator for several years, the emergence of images showing Mourey walking her pets on social media sparked a wave of support among them. They argued that it was unfair for photographers to pursue the retired YouTube personality.
In response to Mourey’s TikTok post featuring an outing, a fan remarked, “This feels intrusive. Please respect Jenna’s privacy.

Despite Mourey not producing new work for several years, her occasional public appearances do not necessarily mean that she will soon re-emerge into the limelight.
It’s not just her who has taken a break from the internet among the major YouTubers; YouTube personality CoryxKenshin took an extended hiatus of approximately one and a half years, returning to the platform with much anticipation at the end of 2024.
