Jeff Bridges, J.J. Abrams, Mark Hamill and More Help Raise Money on ‘White Dudes for Harris’ Zoom Call

As a huge fan of Hollywood and politics, I was absolutely thrilled to witness Jeff Bridges, J.J. Abrams, Mark Hamill, and other notable figures come together for the “White Dudes for Harris” Zoom fundraising rally. The energy was electric as they rallied support for Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign, which has already raised over $3 million!

On Monday evening, Jeff Bridges, J.J. Abrams, and Mark Hamill were part of a group of prominent Hollywood figures who participated in a Zoom event for “White Dudes for Harris,” which combined fundraising and organizing efforts.

Currently, over $3 million has been donated towards Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign through the YouTube broadcast of the event.

Bridges, famous for portraying the extremely relaxed character “The Dude” in the 1998 film “The Big Lebowski,” directed by the Coen brothers, stated, “I’m a man, I’m white, and I’m supporting Harris.”

“I’m excited, man!” Bridges added.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Abrams promised during the call to match $50,000 raised from attendees.

Over fourteen thousand people registered for the event, where Hamill, Astin, Groban, Gad, and Whitford were among the notable attendees.

Some Democratic government figures who took part in the event were Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. These individuals have previously been mentioned as possible vice presidential candidates for Kamala Harris.

“Approximately how many times within a hundred days will you have an opportunity to alter the course of history? Approximately how many times within a hundred days will you be able to make a decision that will affect future generations?” Walz inquired.

“Walz expressed that it’s not uncommon for Trump to be left pondering the reality that a Black woman gave him a fierce defeat, an experience he will carry with him permanently.”

On Mondays night, there was a gathering call for “Women for Harris” with the participation of actress Yvette Nicole Brown, writer Min Jin Lee from “Pachinko,” and social activist Gloria Steinem, among others.
