Jeff Bridges muses about the possibility of revisiting a dream sequence from “The Big Lebowski” with his co-star Julianne Moore. In an interview with The Daily Mail, he recalls their shared desire to make that scene a reality once more. He stated, “Yes, we often daydreamed about that. We’ve worked together on another project, ‘Seventh Son’, and we would joke about how perfectly set up a sequel could be. But I don’t know if the Coen Brothers will go for it.” Despite his skepticism, he acknowledges the unpredictable nature of the Coen Brothers, saying, “They always surprise us, so who knows? If they ever called and asked me to do it again, I’d be all in.” It wasn’t mentioned whether their dream included bowling pins.
It’s true that Bridges is correct. Previously, the Coen Brothers had stated they would never create a sequel to their film. However, one cast member, John Turturro (from “Severance”), dared to try it on his own. He wrote, directed, and starred in a sequel titled “The Jesus Rolls,” reprising his role as Jesus Quintana. The brothers gave Turturro their approval for the film, but they didn’t participate in its making. It seems that Bridges and Moore may have discovered a way to make their dream of a sequel come true somehow.
