Legendary action star Jean-Claude Van Damme returns to the limelight in the latest preview for the upcoming movie, “The Gardener,” set to release next month. Known as “The Muscles from Brussels,” Van Damme will demonstrate both his physical prowess and comedic timing in this story about a peculiar gardener who is tasked with safeguarding U.S. senior official Serge Shuster and his family, after they find themselves in danger. Under the direction of David Charhon (known for “The Last Mercenary”), and written by Charhon, Vincent De Brus, and Sebastien Fechner, the upcoming film titled “The Gardener” features Michaël Youn, Nawell Madani, Kaaris, Matthias Quiviger, Jérôme Le Banner, Carla Poquin, and Jean-Claude Van Damme. David Charhon, who previously directed “The Last Mercenary,” is the director of an upcoming movie called “The Gardener.” The screenplay was written by Charhon, Vincent De Brus, and Sebastien Fechner. The main cast includes Michaël Youn, Nawell Madani, Kaaris, Matthias Quiviger, Jérôme Le Banner, Carla Poquin, and Jean-Claude Van Damme. ‘The Gardener’ Is One of Several Major Action Projects in Jean-Claude Van Damme’s Pipeline

Jean-Claude Van Damme has become a renowned figure in action and martial arts cinema since his debut in “Bloodsport” in 1988, extending to contemporary installments of the “Universal Soldier” and “Kickboxer” series. In addition to acting, Van Damme also directs the action-drama film “Frenchy,” which has had a tumultuous path to the screen. Originally premiered at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, it struggled to find distribution. Consequently, parts of the movie were re-shot in 2012, and Van Damme attempted again in Cannes in 2018. The film was re-edited in 2020, and its title was changed from “The Eagle Path” to “Frenchy” in 2022. In this movie, Van Damme portrays a military veteran and former mercenary who grapples with his troubled childhood and violent past.

I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be rejoining the Kickboxer universe in Kickboxer: Armageddon, and it’s a privilege to be part of such an action-packed lineup! Joining me will be fellow action legends like Sasha Roiz (known for Boyka: Undisputed, John Wick: Chapter 4), Alain Moussi (from Kickboxer: Vengeance and Jiu Jitsu), and Mark Dacascos (star of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum). Although we’re yet to know when it’ll hit the screens, the action-packed flick has recently been acquired for distribution in the U.S. and Canada by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. In the film “What’s My Name?”, it’s reported that the actor known for “Bloodsport” will portray a fictionalized version of himself. This storyline involves his character suffering from amnesia and battling various opponents he encountered throughout his career. However, if the ongoing legal investigation involving this action star doesn’t halt these projects, they will proceed as planned.
