Jason Wong Joins Jason Statham in Lionsgate Action-Thriller ‘Mutiny’ From ‘Plane’ Director (EXCLUSIVE)

As a seasoned movie-goer with a penchant for action-packed thrillers and a soft spot for British talent, I am thrilled to share my thoughts on the upcoming film “Mutiny.” Jason Wong, an actor I’ve admired for his dynamic performances in Guy Ritchie’s films, is joining forces once again with fellow Brit Jason Statham and Annabelle Wallis.

Jason Wong, well recognized as a British actor for his roles in “Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves” and his repeated work with Guy Ritchie on films like “The Gentleman,” “Wrath of Man,” and “The Covenant,” has now signed up to be part of the cast for Lionsgate’s action-thriller titled “Mutiny.” He will star alongside Jason Statham and Annabelle Wallis in this exciting project.

Under the guidance of director Jean-François Richet, who previously worked on “Plane”, this project is being developed. The production is being handled by Jason Statham himself through his recently established Punch Palace Productions company, as well as Marc Butan from MadRiver Pictures.

In the movie “Mutiny,” following the brutal murder of his billionaire industrialist employer, Cole Reed (played by Statham) is falsely accused and forced to flee, as he strives to expose a far-reaching global conspiracy. Wong’s character will be Taran, a steadfast ally who offers support to Cole throughout the ensuing action and suspense.

Filming for the movie is set to begin this fall in the United Kingdom. This film represents the most recent partnership between Richet, Butan, and Davis, following their work on “Plane” which is due out in 2023. Evan Powell will be responsible for this project at MadRiver, while Lauren Bixby and Scott O’Brien will oversee it for Lionsgate.

Wong, having just finished filming “In the Grey” alongside Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal under Ritchie’s direction, is represented by 42.
