Progress Update on “The Beekeeper 2”: We are making great strides with the upcoming sequel, as it has recently found a theatrical distributor and is set to begin filming soon. Originally starring Jason Statham in the leading role, the 2024 release of The Beekeeper was a successful revenge thriller that ranks among the actor’s top-earning standalone action films to date.
As reported by Deadline, Amazon MGM Studios has secured global distribution rights for “The Beekeeper 2” in a substantial agreement valued above $50 million. Production on this upcoming sequel is set to start this autumn, with Timo Tjahjanto (“Nobody 2”) stepping into the director’s chair following David Ayer’s leadership in the original film.
