Make way for the Japanese YouTuber, Joey Wheeler’s no match! He’s become a viral hit with an extended chin and an impressive following of hundreds of thousands on various social platforms.
Online, he’s known as ‘Jōnouchi’. This individual has amassed a significant following, with 348K subscribers on YouTube and 410K followers on TikTok. They tune in to watch his humorous videos, which often poke fun at his distinctive long chin.
In truth, he asserts that his chin is the longest in the world, a feature he developed approximately when he turned five years old.
Following the suggestion from a schoolmate, Jōnouchi began meticulously consuming milk with the aim of growing taller and enhancing his facial proportions. However, what transpired was an elongation of “just his chin.

Japanese man goes viral for having “world’s longest chin”
As a gamer, I’ve been baffled lately about my unusually elongated chin. I even got dental X-rays and consulted with medical professionals, but they were just as puzzled as I am. The mystery of why my chin grew this way remains unsolved, but I’ve been brainstorming some theories to crack the case myself.
In a YouTube video, he explained, “There could be a couple of factors that cause a chin to protrude in this manner.” One possibility is that it’s congenital, meaning it was present at birth or naturally prominent. Another reason might be acquired, where the chin gradually extends over time due to particular habits.
As a curious enthusiast, I’d like to share an intriguing insight: The positioning of your tongue within your mouth could potentially influence the general structure of your face and jawline. This notion has gained popularity, thanks to Dr. John Mew, the pioneer behind the buzzworthy ‘mewing’ movement online.
If you consistently keep your tongue positioned low, it applies pressure on your lower jaw, leading to a gradual protrusion of the chin over time. Essentially, your jaw lengthens as a result. This is what I experienced – my jaw continued to elongate gradually over time.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share a relatable moment from Jōnouchi’s past. Just like many of us, he faced challenges in the realm of teenage dating due to a distinctive feature – his long chin. In fact, he was affectionately (or not so affectionately) known as ‘chin’ at school. Things got even tougher when a girl turned him down because of his unique facial appearance. It just goes to show that everyone has their own struggles and stories, making us all the more human.
Despite the negativity from some, he refuses to be affected. On the contrary, he’s garnered attention online by emphasizing his unusually long jaw, playfully mocking himself, and truthfully sharing his experiences living with his health situation.
Due to the numerous hilarious memes he’s created featuring himself, Jōnouchi has garnered more than a million followers collectively on his social media platforms – and he’s far from being the only one grabbing attention due to his distinctive chin.
In the year 2022, a Twitch streamer named ‘SeanDidWhat’, who is physically disabled, gained widespread popularity when he managed to defeat an Elden Ring boss solely by using his chin.
