Japanese restaurant’s six-patty-high burger without buns has the internet salivating

A Japanese restaurant is gaining attention online for its incredibly large burger. Instead of traditional buns, it uses burger patties on both the top and bottom, creating a massive, meat-filled sandwich with multiple patties inside.

Shake Tree Burger & Bar is a restaurant in Tokyo, Japan, serving American-style food. You’ll find familiar items like appetizers, salads, and sides, much like what you’d expect at a casual American diner, but they also offer a particularly unique and bold main course.

Shake Tree’s ‘Wild Out’ burger is becoming hugely popular on Japanese social media, and it’s easy to see why. Instead of a traditional bun, this double cheeseburger uses two 120g+ coarse-ground steak patties, effectively making it a quadruple cheeseburger!

This burger is loaded with onion-flavored barbeque sauce, cheese, tomato, and onions, and costs 2,250 yen – around $14. A picture of it, called the ‘Wild Out’ burger, has quickly become popular online in Japan, leaving people both amazed and craving a bite.

“A burger so wild it’d make Americans lose their shit, LMAO,” one commenter replied.

“This violently delicious visual is just too much,” another said.

People were amazed by what they were seeing, with one viewer saying it looked “insanely good, but incredibly difficult to eat!”

One person commented that the food initially seemed like an excessive amount, but wondered if it was intended for someone with a large appetite, or if it just looked big in the picture.

Many American burger chains have offered similar large burgers before. Burger King, for example, released its ‘Yeti’ burger in March 2026, a massive four-patty creation with 1,700 calories.

Last year, Burger King teamed up with the Japan Sumo Association to create a massive ‘Baby Body Burger’ – a 2,000-calorie burger piled high with five flame-grilled patties.
