Final Fantasy 14’s Age Rating Has Gone Up in Japan Due to Posing

The game’s higher ratings are thanks to the Gpose/Group Pose feature – taking it away would have meant a lower rating. The age rating hasn’t changed the game’s content in any other way.
The game’s rating likely went up because players are sharing revealing photos taken with the in-game photo mode, Gpose, and the game features a lot of revealing clothing options.

It’s odd that Final Fantasy 14 is only now receiving a higher age rating, considering the game has been available in its current state since 2013. Many players are known to use the game for mature roleplaying, but it’s taken this long for the rating to change.
