Foxx announced that the new show will return to its stand-up comedy origins, titled ‘What Had Happened Was’. Foxx announced on social media after it was revealed that the Netflix action comedy “Back in Action,” where he starred alongside Cameron Diaz, would be available for streaming starting January 17th. In this film, Foxx and Diaz reprise their roles as Matt and Emily, former CIA agents who chose family life over espionage, only to be pulled back into the game when their cover is compromised. Filming was paused during Foxx’s hospitalization, but he returned to work in January. During his recovery period, another host took over for him on the Fox game show “Beat Shazam.
Jamie Foxx’s health situation was carefully concealed, respecting his family’s wishes for seclusion. It wasn’t until April 12, 2023, that his daughter Corrine made an Instagram post revealing her father’s hospitalization. In her post, she expressed, “We wanted to inform everyone that my dad Jamie Foxx encountered a health issue yesterday. Fortunately, thanks to prompt action and skilled care, he is already on the path to recovery. We understand how cherished he is and appreciate your prayers.
In July, Foxx shared an emotional video message addressing the severity of the situation.
Last summer, Foxx shared on social media that he experienced something he never imagined he would endure. He admitted that while many people were anticipating updates, he preferred not to show his struggle.
