Having grown up watching the Man of Steel on the small screen, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of excitement as we inch closer to witnessing this iconic character grace the silver screen once more.
James Gunn’s latest Superman movie has reached a significant step in its production process – principal filming has been completed. Excited about this accomplishment, Gunn expressed his gratitude on social media to the entire cast and team, appreciating their dedication, imagination, and tireless efforts to bring this movie to life.
He initially aimed to produce a film centered around a virtuous individual in a less than ideal world. However, the compassion and kindness he witnessed daily during filming rejuvenated him when he felt drained and motivated him to continue. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved, stating that while the ultimate goal was Superman, the real treasure was the hard work, laughter, emotions, creative exchanges, and enchantment we experienced together on set – for which he is eternally grateful.

Alongside his remark, Gunn posted a picture showing him with the cast during our initial shoot in Svalbard, Norway, from the very beginning.
David Corenswet marked the conclusion of his Superman role by posting a video where he appeared to be enjoying a delicious-looking dessert, possibly a brownie. Given that Corenswet likely followed a rigorous fitness and nutrition regimen for Superman, this sweet treat might indicate that the actor is resuming normal eating habits.
As a gamer eagerly waiting for the new Superman movie, I know the camera work might be wrapped up, but there’s still plenty of action happening behind the scenes. The CG and visual effects sequences are underway, ensuring that when the film hits theaters in July 2025, it’ll be nothing short of spectacular!
Beyond me playing Superman, this movie also showcases Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult stepping into the shoes of Lex Luthor.
