The show will primarily center on Hal Jordan and John Stewart, with “Lanterns” delving into the renowned Green Lanterns as they grapple with a “grim, earth-rooted enigma,” while concurrently investigating a murder in the heartland of America.
A spectator recently questioned Gunn on Threads if a rumor was true that Garret Dillahunt would portray Green Arrow in Lanterns next year, given his Instagram posts. The “Lanterns” series, due to air on HBO in 2026, is now under production with Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre portraying Hal and John. It’s worth noting that Graham Dillahunt has joined the cast, having been assigned the role of William Macon since November 2024.
