Jake Paul reveals talks with boxing champ for next fight if he beats Chavez Jr.

Jake Paul has shared that discussions have taken place with a present boxing titleholder about a potential match if he manages to defeat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Moreover, victory would not be limited to just one prize.

Ever since my defeat against Tommy Fury at the beginning of 2023, I’ve been focusing on stepping into the ring with genuine boxers instead. As a former YouTuber now making waves in the boxing world, I’ve added victories over Andre August, Ryan Bourland, and the legendary Mike Tyson to my growing boxing record.

On June 28th, he’s set to enter the ring against the ex-WBC Middleweight champion, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. His aim is to secure another victory. Originally, the fight with the Mexican boxer was rumored to be for a unique WBC title.

Additionally, it’s been mentioned that if Jake wins, he will at last secure a spot in the Cruiserweight division’s world rankings. Yet, there’s more to it:

In case Jake wins, he will, at last, get acknowledged in the Cruiserweight division’s world rankings. However, this is just one of many implications:

Jake Paul wants Badou Jack title fight & could get world ranking

Ahead of the exciting upcoming match, the ‘Troublemaker’ disclosed that he has been having discussions with WBC Cruiserweight title holder, Badou Jack, regarding a possible championship bout.

I’ve been in discussions with Badou Jack, as per my conversation with ESPN. My potential ranking by the WBC following my bout with Chavez is crucial for securing approval for a match against him. Right now, that’s where my attention lies.

Jack, who’s 41 years old, boasts a record of 29 wins, 3 losses, and is presently riding a seven-bout winning streak. Remarkably, this success has been achieved even with a nearly two-year gap between his last two fights.

According to Jake’s observations, securing a title fight depends on him being ranked, though this might change if he delivers an impressively dominant victory, which the WBC is contemplating.

If he manages to win against Chavez, the outcome of the bout could influence the decision of the WBC committee. According to Mauricio Sulaiman, it’s highly probable that a decisive victory will sway their decision.
