He even said he wants Joshua to injure him badly, but insists he’s willing to risk everything – even his life – to win. He stated he’s “ready to die” in the ring, which raises the question of whether it’s possible to win a fight if you’re no longer alive. While there’s an old story about a Greek wrestler winning after death, it’s likely just a legend. This exchange happened at a press conference, as reported by TMZ, to promote their December 19th fight in Miami.
Jake Paul’s boxing match last Friday against Gervonta Davis was cancelled due to accusations of domestic violence against Davis. This significantly changes Paul’s plans, as he was preparing for an exhibition fight against a smaller opponent. Now, he’s facing a professional heavyweight fight against a much more experienced boxer, Anthony Joshua, who is an Olympic gold medalist and former two-time heavyweight champion.
Joshua agrees with Paul’s strategy and is determined to inflict serious physical harm. He stated bluntly, “I’m going to break his face, damage his body, and completely dominate him.”

Anthony Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, doesn’t think Jake Paul has much of a chance.
