Jackbox Games Will Soon Be Playable On Smart TVs For Free

For nearly three decades, Jackbox Games has continued to evolve due to its irresistible collection of party games such as You Don’t Know Jack. Now, it’s time for these captivating game titles from Jackbox to move onto smart TVs, all made possible by the introduction of the new Jackbox app.

Through their official website, Jackbox Games declared that the application was created in collaboration with Amazon Web Services’ GameLift Streams. This partnership will allow Jackbox Games to release their titles on smart TVs and various other platforms using cloud technology.

The announcement doesn’t detail which games exactly will be available, but it does state that the Jackbox app will initially provide a set of free, ad-supported games. Later on, they intend to offer the entire library of Jackbox Games as a subscription service, though no pricing details or release date have been disclosed yet. Moreover, if the app receives positive feedback, it might expand to other platforms as well.

Jackbox playfully suggested that, in theory, their app might one day work on a smartwatch; however, he humorously stated that playing Fibbage around a watch for a game would be incredibly impractical. It’s anticipated that the beta version of the Jackbox app will be accessible on smart TVs this coming spring.

Among the latest additions to the Jackbox family is The Jackbox Survey Scramble, a fresh spin on the classic game show format of Family Feud. Similar to its ancestor, The Jackbox Survey Scramble generates bizarre responses from real surveys that players strive to guess. Given its interactive nature and potential for online multiplayer, it appears to be a perfect fit for the Jackbox app. However, we can only speculate about which games will appear on the app initially.
